Dataforth 5B pluggable thermocouple signal conditioner modules, are designed for industrial plant environments. Dataforth's 5B modules protect user equipment from heavy equipment power line voltages and reduce electrical noise in measured signals.
Each SCM5B47 thermocouple input module provides a single channel of thermocouple input which is filtered, isolated, amplified, linearized and converted to a high-level analog voltage output. The SCM5B modules are designed with a completely isolated computer side circuit. The SCM5B47 can interface to industry standard thermocouple. Its corresponding output signal operates over a 0-5V or 0-10V dc range. Each module is cold-junction compensated to correct for conditioner room/enclosure temperature changes, when used with a compatible optional backplane.
